Spectrums VPN (January 2003)
Spectrum has deployed Tarantella software in a high-speed virtual private network between its processing centers.UK-headquartered geophysical processing house Spectrum has successfully deployed a new high tech communications network between its 3D processing centers in London, Houston and Cairo. The secure virtual private network uses Tarantella servers in each processing center to provide Spectrums clients with location-independent access to processing resources. Clients can track processing progress, run tests and view reports from a web browser. Spectrum UK and its Egyptian associate, Spectrum-Geopex will use the high speed link to access computing resources in the primary, Houston center.
