GE buys MJ Harden (September 2003)

Pipeline GIS specialist MJ Harden will be subsumed into GEs Oil and Gas unitcombining engineering with application software and data management.

GE Power Systems has acquired pipeline GIS specialists M.J. Harden Inc. (MJH). The company will integrate the UK-based pipeline integrity division of GEs PII Pipeline Solutions unitpart of GE Power Systems Oil & Gas business.

Santiago

GE Oil & Gas president Claudi Santiago said, The acquisition combines PIIs engineering knowledge and best practices for pipeline integrity management with MJHs software and data management capabilities. This will offer enhanced decision support and greater efficiency in our clients pipeline maintenance operations and planning.

Domsch

MJH president Ron Domsch added, This acquisition is a merger of strengths. Adding our expertise and experience to GEs resources will create one of the pipeline industrys most comprehensive packages of integrity management products and services. MJH offers consulting, database design, data conversion and integration, software application development, photogrammetry and digital mapping. Primary industries served include oil and gas transmission, oil, gas and municipal utilities, pipeline construction, and government.
