Tigress bags GeoBrowse (October 2005)

UK-based upstream software house adds generic, GIS-based data browser to its Tigress database and interpretation suite.

UK-based upstream software house Tigress Limited has acquired GeoBrowse from Integrated Solutions Australasia (ISA). GeoBrowse combines a desktop GIS with generic database query technology. GeoBrowse runs on Windows XP/2000 and offers rapid comparison of data stored in disparate databases including Landmark, Schlumberger, SMT, GeoPlus and IHS Energy. The acquisition is part of Tigresss strategic move into E&P data managementcomplementing its signature Tigress database and interpretation suite.

Sullivan

Tigresss MD David Sullivan said, This acquisition enhances our position as the supplier of the worlds most integrated E&P data management system. With the Tigress database, the TIES data exchange and QC system, and our integrated interpretation suite, we have the best tools in the industry.

Seiquest

Tigress will be marketing GeoBrwose in the US through Houston-based Seisquest Data Management. Seisquest consultants are certified in data management implementations such as IBM Tivoli, Veritas NetBackup and EMC Legato. A further relationship with Sigma Solutions extends support to ADIC and StorageTek tape libraries.
