eLearning—basic principles of petroleum (June 2006)

American Petroleum Institute University offers on-line learning.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) has released an interactive computer-based training course on the ‘Basic Principles of Petroleum’ as part of its continuing education program for oil and gas professionals. The eLearning course can be taken on-line or delivered on CD-ROM.

Combs

API business director Kathleen Combs said, ‘The course was designed to address the learning needs of newly-hired personnel but will also benefit cross-training of staff in engineering and support roles’. Course modules include petroleum geology, exploration, drilling operations, production, refining, and distribution. An individual license to the course can be ordered through the API University website at api-u.org for $145.
